I recently traveled to the Scottsdale area for my sister’s bachelorette party. Look out Austin, and Nashville, Scottsdale, is the new hotspot for bachelor and bachelorette parties. Or it makes for an epic destination for a weekend getaway with your best girlfriends!
I will share with you all of the tips and tricks we learned during our three nights in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Scottsdale, Arizona, is the total package and that perfect destination for your next girl’s weekend. In the last couple of years, Scottsdale has grown significantly in popularity.
And there is a good reason why, there are plenty of activities to choose from, including spa treatments, shopping, golfing, hiking, wine tasting, and exploring the local food and drink scene.
Plus, Scottsdale has a vibrant nightlife, with many bars and clubs to choose from. Scottsdale, Arizona, is the place to be and is worth visiting!

We did this for my sister’s bachelorette and it was such a fun surprise! She loved it! When we first booked for the event I wasn’t sure what to expect, but so glad we did. It made for some awesome memories and was a unique experience!

Arizona Party Bike
A party bike is a great addition to your Scottdale girl’s trip itinerary. I am sure we have all seen these party bikes pedaling around different cities.
Yes, it is a little touristy, but who doesn’t love being a tourist sometimes? We had so much fun on our party bike blasting our favorite music while bar-hopping in Old Town Scottsdale.
You get two hours on the bike, with three different bar visits, and drink discounts at each bar. It is an awesome day activity for a Scottsdale girl’s weekend!

Old Town Scottsdale Nightlife
Old Town is the heart of Scottsdale nightlife, offering a diverse mix of bars, clubs, lounges, comedy clubs, and live music venues. There is the main strip of bars that get pretty wild at night such as Bottled Blonde, Whiskey Row, El Hefe, and Bevvy.
Pro tip: If you are looking for more of a bar feel rather than a club, check out Bevvy.
There are other options for bars in the area that are a little more laid back, such as Boondocks for live music, Kelly’s at Southbridge, or the dive bar Patties.
We visited on a busy weekend in Scottsdale and had a difficult time getting into some of these bars without standing in a long line. So my piece of advice is to arrive early or go to these bars during the day.
Plan a Day at the Pool
Scottsdale is an extremely popular destination for pool parties, especially during the summer months when the temperatures reach the triple digits.
Whether you’re looking for a laid-back afternoon by the pool with a cocktail in hand or a high-energy party atmosphere with live music, there is no shortage of options in Scottsdale.
You can find the top pool parties in Scottsdale at hotspots like the W Scottsdale, Maya Day and Nightclub, and the Hotel Valley Ho, where you can soak up the sun, take a dip in the pool, and enjoy the company of fellow party-goers.
With gorgeous weather and a vibrant atmosphere, pool parties in Scottsdale are the perfect way to spend a summer day in Arizona.
Maya Day Club
If you have to pick one pool party for your girl’s trip in Scottsdale, Maya Day Club tends to be the most popular one. Maya is known for its Vegas-style pool parties and features some of the top DJs in the world.
If you plan on visiting, I highly recommend getting your tickets in advance. With a large group, Maya can be a little pricey, similar to getting a table at a club. However, I think it is worth the splurge!
Go On a Group Hike
Scottsdale, Arizona is a great place to explore the outdoors! You can easily spend days hiking the beautiful desert landscapes of Arizona. There are numerous scenic hiking trails near Scottsdale that you can easily get to by Uber or Lyft.

Camelback Mountain – Echo Canyon
Echo Canyon hike at Camelback Mountain, is a popular and highly trafficked hike in the area. The hike features breathtaking panoramic views of the Phoenix Valley from its summit.
However, be aware, that Camelback is rated on Alltrails as extremely difficult with a steep hike and elevation gain. The trail is 1.3 miles each way and gains over 1,200 feet in elevation, making it a strenuous hike.
Our group of girls was not prepared for something like that, so we ended up agreeing on Papago Park Butte Loop.
Papago Park – Butte Loop
Papago Park is about a 10 minute drive from Old Town Scottsdale. Maybe we choose Butte Loop because of its fun and silly name, but it is also a quick and easy hike with some beautiful views.
Not everybody is thrilled about waking up early morning to go on a hike at a bachelorette party. However, when we finished, we were all happy that we did it. It felt so good to get in some fresh air and work out a sweat.
The best part is, that you have worked up an appetite for some yummy tacos and margaritas at Diego Pops!
McDowell Sonoran Preserve
About 25 minutes from Old Town Scottsdale is where you can find over 225 miles of hiking trails at McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The trails range from easy to difficult, with options for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
The Tom’s Thumb Trail is a popular trail and has a challenging ascent to the summit of Tom’s Thumb rock formation. If you’re looking for a scenic and relaxing hike, the Windgate Pass Trail is a great option, offering beautiful views of the surrounding McDowell Mountains.
Girl About Town
Have Girl About Town to deck out your Airbnb! You can’t plan a bachelorette party without tons of decorations, heart shaped sunglasses, and a jumbo face cut out of the bachelor.
If you want to decorate your rental house for a special occasion, but don’t have the extra space in your suitcase for decorations. This local travel concierge in Scottsdale will drop by your Airbnb before your arrival and decorate your house from top to bottom before you get there.

Best Restaurants For a Scottsdale Girls Trip
Before traveling to Scottsdale, I had no idea how many amazing restaurants were in Old Town Scottsdale.
Each one that we went to had a unique vibe that was totally Instagram-worthy! Here are my restaurant recommendations for a Scottsdale girl’s weekend.
Diego Pops
Diego Pops is known for creating a modern twist on Mexican favorites. They have a funky and retro aesthetic that was so much fun to explore. It is the perfect place for some social media pics. Diego Pops is a great spot for some tacos and margaritas, and honestly, what else do you need?
Tip Before You Go: They do not take reservations. However, they have a large outdoor area where you can sit, order drinks, and munch on some appetizers from the bar until you can be seated.
The Montauk
Transport yourself to the Hamptons, New York! There are a lot of Mexican cuisine options in Scottsdale. However, The Montauk is not one of them.
They serve New England-inspired food, and seriously who doesn’t love a good lobster roll?! The ambiance is laid back with a beachy vibe. They have an adorable outdoor area and are also well known for being a popular brunch spot in Scottsdale.
Tip Before You Go: They only accept reservations for parties of 10 or more. In our experience, we had two people miss their flight and were not able to attend lunch. Montauk charged us $50 a person for the two that did not make the reservation.
We did not know that this was in their cancellation policy, so make sure to update your reservation before your visit!!
Toca Madero
Did you say you haven’t had enough Mexican food? Ok good! Toca Madero puts a modern and sophisticated take on Mexican cuisine. The ambiance at Toca Madero gives off a trendy and mysterious vibe. It is definitely a restaurant that will leave you with an experience.
It’s dark inside, with the only lights coming from fire pits and live ficus trees with twinkling lights that are scattered around the restaurant. Also during our delicious dinner, there were multiple captivating fire performances for you to watch while you dined.
Tip Before You Go: Make your reservations as soon as you can. This place books up fast!
Best Brunch in Scottsdale for a Girl’s Weekend
A boozy brunch is 100% necessary for your Scottsdale bachelorette party itinerary. Make sure to make your reservations in advance because these popular brunch spots book up fast!
Hash Kitchen
A popular location to grab a delicious brunch is at Hash Kitchen, the home to the original build your own Bloody Mary! Honestly, you can just forget about ordering food and just have your Bloody Mary for breakfast with the choice of over 50 toppings.
And don’t worry, they go ALL out when it comes to toppings, including fried ravioli, bacon, blue cheese-stuffed olives, meatballs, oysters, spicy mango, pickled eggs, literally anything you can think of, they will add it to your Blood Mary.
Make sure to come hungry, because once you finally decide on your drink order, Hash Kitchen has a mouth watering breakfast menu. They offer an assort of different hashes, such as the Hangover Hash, with five-hour prime braised beef, jalapeño cornbread & potato hash, mozzarella, poached eggs, fried onion rings, and a demi hollandaise.
Or if you are looking for something sweet, they also serve glazed donuts, cannoli donuts, millionaire bacon, banana fosters pancakes, and so much more.

SumoMaya
For sure the go-to location for brunch! As soon as we arrived, people were cheering, chanting, and having a great time. SumoMaya’s cuisine is Mexican-Asian fusion, which I have never heard of that combo before. However, SumoMaya is doing something right because it works!

For brunch, they have an awesome deal! You can get unlimited shared plates and desserts plus one entree per guest for $32. Also, for an extra $15, you can add on bottomless Bloody Marys, Margaritas, Mimosas, Micheladas, or Draft Beer. Come hungry and enjoy a little bit of everything off of the menu!

Extra Fun Things to Add to Your Scottsdale Girls Trip
There are plenty more things to do in Scottsdale to plan an unforgettable girl’s getaway. Such as a day on the golf course, Scottsdale is one of the finest golf destinations in the world.
Other great options for fun activities include a day trip to Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend, a spa day at one of the many luxury hotels, a hot air balloon ride, wine tasting, and shopping in Scottdale Fashion Square.
Scottsdale Fashion Square
The Scottsdale shopping scene is referred to as “The Beverly Hills of the Southwest.” At Scottsdale Fashion Square, you will find luxury shopping at big designer brands like Prada, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.
Even if a Louis Vuitton is not in your budget, it is still fun to browse high-end fashion at the largest shopping center in the Southwest.
Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Day Adventure
If the group is more into adventure and exploring nature than hopping on a party bike, this day tour to Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend is the perfect option for you.

Where to Stay in Scottsdale for a Girl’s Trip
From luxurious hotels to eccentric and unique shared homes, there are plenty of amazing options of accommodations for you to choose from for your girl’s trip to Scottsdale.
When traveling with my group of girlfriends we tend to prefer to stay in a shared home. I hate breaking the group up into hotel rooms, and we always have way more fun staying together! It reminds me of college when you lived with all of your best girlfriends and got ready together before a night out.
But if hotels are more your style, I have recommended a couple of highly rated and popular ones below.
Booking a Shared Home in Scottsdale, AZ
When planning our trip to Scottsdale, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of shared homes that came with a ton of awesome amenities and were pretty affordable for a large group.
If you are trying to figure out what area to stay in, I suggest Old Town Scottsdale. Or stay close to it. You will be right in the middle of all of the action in Scottsdale, AZ. Another option is Paradise Valley, where you can book a large house for a great price, and it is only a 10 to 15-minute drive to Downtown.
If you are not a college student, I do not recommend staying in Tempe, AZ. It’s located right by ASU’s campus.
Wherever you decide to book your stay, you must get a place with a pool! It is 100% a necessity when visiting Scottsdale.

One of the best parts about visiting Scottsdale is that it’s easy to get to! Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport offers nonstop service to more than 100 domestic and 23 international destinations. From there it is about a 20-minute drive or Uber/Lyft to Scottsdale.

When planning your girl’s trip to Scottsdale, book your flights as soon as possible, especially during peak season. My husband traveled there at the end of May for a bachelor party and booked his flight about a month in advance. He ended up paying $800-$900 for his airline tickets from California. Insane.

Tips on Ordering Groceries in Scottsdale
When you stay at an Airbnb or VRBO and do not have a car, figuring out groceries and buying alcoholic beverages is a little of an inconvenience. You do not want to hop in an Uber with loads of grocery bags.
Fortunately, nowadays, you can get anything to your doorstep within an hour. We had a great experience using Instacart and Go Puff to order all of our food and drinks to the house during our stay.
Is It Hard to Get an Uber in Scottsdale
Uber and Lyft are available in Scottsdale. Shared cars were our primary source of transportation during our girl’s trip to Scottsdale. It did work out for us. However, with a large group, we needed to take multiple shared cars. Every time we ordered a car, it would take at least 20 to 30 minutes to arrive, even if it was a short trip while we were Downtown.
⭐️ A great tip and we ended up scheduling the shared cars in advance for many of our rides. It was a huge time saver! It especially helped when we had dinner reservations that we did not want to be late for.
Uber and Lyft may require a little patience, but I definitely think it is a better option than a rental car. If you are only planning on staying in Scottsdale, a rental car would be a waste of money.
What is the Best Month to Travel to Scottsdale, Arizona
The best month to travel to Scottsdale, Arizona is in the spring and falls months. This is the time of year you are going to have absolutely perfect weather.
Most days you will have lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-’70s to mid-’80s. Ideal for outdoor activities, lounging by the pool, and exploring Scottsdale.
In the Summer months expect high temperatures reaching to a boiling 104 degrees Fahrenheit. They do have dry heat in Arizona. However, the temperatures can still be uncomfortable for your Scottsdale girl’s weekend.
Scottsdale Girls Trip FAQ
Yes, Scottsdale is definitely worth going to! There is so much to see and do in Scottsdale, from exploring the local art galleries and museums to hiking one of the many nearby trails to enjoying the vibrant nightlife and dining scene in Old Town.
Scottsdale is also known for its world-class golf courses, luxurious spas, and upscale shopping destinations.
Unless you plan on doing day trips to other locations in Arizona, I do not think you need a car to visit Scottsdale.
Scottsdale is a very walkable city. Most of the main attractions are located in Old Town and are either accessible by public transportation or Uber/Lyft.
If you’re planning a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, three nights is the perfect amount of time to experience the best of what the city has to offer.

Overall we loved our time in Scottsdale, AZ. There were so many options of things to do for our girl’s weekend in Scottsdale. And the weather was incredible!!
We enjoyed having a pool at our house to relax during the day. Another Pro was the pricing of our Airbnb. We got a pretty good deal for a nice house, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Cons With Planning a Scottsdale Girls Trip
There were not many cons that we experienced over the weekend. However, I would say the Uber and Lyft situation was a little inconvenient. With a large group, we always had to get two shared vehicles.
Every time we did order a car, it would take at least 20 minutes to arrive, even if it was a short trip while we were Downtown. We were also there during a busy weekend, but the Uber prices were more expensive than we expected.
