Welcome! I’m Alisha Rose

A Registered Nurse, dog mom 🐕🐕, California transplant, and a little travel obsessed.

I moved to sunny California in 2016 and love exploring my beautiful home in the Bay Area with my family and two Golden Retrievers.

Travel Today Work Tomorrow is for all of my fellow travelers who work a 9-5 but want to travel more and maximize their limited time off. I’m here to guide you through planning unforgettable day trips, rejuvenating weekend escapes, and making every second of your vacation count.

Dog Friendly Travel

🐕 We travel as a family (pups included) very often and I have lots of experience in planning AWESOME dog friendly itineraries.

A Little Bit About Me

• Born and raised on the East Coast
• I’m an operating room nurse and I love my job. I could never imagine a life without it.
• I met my future husband in the halls of the operating room. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a guy in scrubs.
• In 2016 I made the gutsy decision to move my entire life across the country to sunny Los Angeles with my boyfriend (yes the one in the scrubs!)
• Fast forward to now, we have traded SoCal for redwoods, wineries, and Bay views and planted our roots in Oakland, California.
• We had our dream wedding in Tuscany, Italy, after postponing it three times.
• And I have saved the best for last. I became a mom at the end of 2022 and I am a dog mom to two goofy English Golden Retrievers. They love belly rubs, lots of pets, and like to crash most of our vacations.

I have learned a thing or two about perfecting the weekend warrior lifestyle and finding a work-life balance.  

We take every opportunity we can to discover our beautiful home in California for day trips and weekend getaways and maximizing our PTO to go on international vacations.
